Today we answer YOUR questions from our previous Stronghold Next videos on YouTube to tide you over until our full gameplay reveal. Firefly Joins One Special Day
On September 28th Firefly Studios will begin a second ‘Crusade for SpecialEffect’! For 24 hours all proceeds from our fan-favourite Crusader games will be donated to this amazing charity for One Special Day. That means 100% of Steam revenue from Stronghold Crusader HD, Stronghold Crusader 2 and all associated DLC will be used to help fund SpecialEffect’s ongoing quest for inclusiveness and accessibility in gaming.
In addition to this day-long pledge, we are also planning giveaways and other promotions on the day, generally doing everything we can to spread the word of One Special Day!
Kingdoms Comes to Windows 10
Now available on Windows 10 via the Microsoft Store, Stronghold Kingdoms is the next evolution of the classic castle-building series from Firefly Studios. Stronghold & Chill – Game Design
‘Stronghold & Chill’ returns this week as Aaron from Firefly introduces a new member of the team in the form of Game Designer and occasional programmer Stephen! Our series of informal developer interviews introduces you to the people behind your favourite castle-building series, taking you behind the scenes at Firefly Studios’ London office. From Lead Designer Simon Bradbury and Producer Paul all the way through to our Junior Programmers and Senior Artists watch as we play a little Stronghold and discuss the making of the original castle sim.
In today’s episode Aaron asks Stephen how he managed to enter the games industry as a designer, his favourite memory working on the series and even tries to tease out a little Stronghold Next info!
