Description

Stronghold Kingdoms is a massively multiplayer grand strategy game and the first ever Stronghold castle sim on mobile! Kingdoms is about forging alliances, political mind games, city-building and castle sieges with 1000s of other players. Cast as a feudal Lord – or Lady – players start with a single village and keep. They must first design and defend their castle before turning their eye to the rest of the country, Europe and the world! Whatever path they choose players will find strength in numbers as they band together, uniting with local Factions and player-led Houses. This new mobile version of the game features the full PC experience on mobile, redesigned touch controls and cross-play across iOS, Android, PC and Mac.

History

First released on Steam in 2012 Stronghold Kingdoms rocketed to the top of the platform’s most played games, where it would remain for over two years. Firefly’s first free-to-play title and foray into the world of massively multiplayer games, Stronghold Kingdoms soon became successful enough to support the entire company. Reaching one million players just two months after launch on Steam, it would remain in the top 10 most popular free-to-play games for years to come. Even in its fifth year Kingdoms boasts more active players on Steam than games from colossal IPs such as Lord of the Rings and DC Comics. At Gamescom 2015 a new mobile version was announced for release the next year on iOS and Android. Completely redesigned for phones and tables this new mobile release is set to feature new touch controls, UI, all the core functionality of the PC version and cross play between iOS, Android, PC and Mac players.
