Unreal Cinematic Artist/Animator

Firefly Studios are looking for a Unreal Cinematic Artist/Animator to join their team to work on an exciting new Unreal Engine 5 project currently in development.

Contract

  • 12-Months. June 2024-June 2025 if possible, otherwise ASAP

Responsibilities

  • Help the Cinematic team deliver excellent and engaging cutscenes resulting in an exciting story campaign
  • Working closely with Video & Cinematics Director and Lead Artist to create great cinematic content both in cinematics and in-game
  • Clean, polish and adjust MoCap data to be used in Cinematic scenes
  • Clean, polish and adjust Face Capture data to be used in Cinematic scenes
  • Clean, polish and adjust MoCap data to be used in-game
  • Be an adaptable member of the Cinematic team who can assist across cinematic workflow if needed

Requirements

  • Advanced understanding of Animation
  • Advanced understanding of Unreal Engine and Sequencer
  • Experience working with Motion Capture and/or Performance Capture
  • Basic understanding of cinematic storytelling
  • Ability to work from narrative scripts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to flexible working conditions and plans
  • Ability to work in a small team

Nice to haves

  • Advanced understanding of Lighting
  • Experience designing and creating lights in Unreal Engine (both in-game and in cinematics)
  • Interest in history
  • Enjoyment of strategy games

Location

  • UK based but fully remote. Ability to be able to come to our London Office (Victoria) for in person meetings and discussions a plus.
